Back to Basics?

In my new 8K training plan I should have had a “long run” yesterday but as usual there just isn’t any time on the weekends for me to run. So my mind started working again to figure out how to correct the situation. Then it came to me! Do nothing… Like the Tao of Pooh a wave of nothing came over me and this prompted me to a revelation. Just run, don’t think, don’t plan just run. For now this is the best path. Speed, distance, strength, weight, power all that junk will come, in its own time. I started running to break the habits of my old life to break into new habits. I think I got wrapped up in the whole fitness world I forgot about the running. I’ll give this new attitude a few weeks or so (who knows maybe things will change in a few hours knowing me), then see what is next.
